I was working from home today and have had an underlying angst about work I’ve not been able to articulate until today. I just figured it out.
Here it is: You know how, in those end of the world movies where something like a huge asteroid strike is coming, yet the people that work in TV news keep doing their job, presenting the news, even though they know it’s all coming to an end very soon? Yeah, that’s how I feel at work and in my online meetings. It all seems utterly irrelevant.
After November and into next year I think 2020 is going to look like the salad days, yet we are all acting like it will be fine.
It won’t be fine, no matter who wins.
