Report: NFL Dropping Military Honor Guards for National Anthem

The NFL is preparing to end the use of military honor guards to present the American flag ahead of the national anthem, according to reports.

A league source claims that the policy benching military, federal, and police guards is part of its COVID-19 response, according to Front Office Sports.

It appears that there will be no flags on the field and the flag will only appear on electronic scoreboards during the playing of the national anthem, at least for the beginning of the season.

Our whole family and extended family were big NFL fans. We have all committed to not watching a single game no matter the team or matchup.
We had always gathered together in large groups that would resemble a family reunion to most people, to watch the games. No more. Respect for this country is far more important than the NFL or any sport that chooses to cower before BLM / Antifa.

- Show some respect for the country that has served them so well
- Not actively try to piss off giant populations of Americans
- Play Football

I want Football to succeed, but I want the NFL to suffer massive financial losses directly attributed to their self-inflicted wounds of stupidity. I’d be grateful for the NFL going Chapter 11 and bought out for pennies on he dollar by Americans that love our country and the sport.

As a Broncos season ticket holder it's my understanding that the initial home games will not have anyone in the stands. Only the two teams, their support staff, referees, TV crews and stadium personnel will be at the game. So not having the usual pregame military honor guard flag presentation isn't all that unusual given the Covid-19 BS. My guess is that when fans start returning to the games the pregame routine will return.
