Illinois teen Kyle Rittenhouse will not be alone as he faces murder charges related to a shooting Tuesday night during the chaotic rioting that has ripped through Kenosha, Wisconsin.
...
Wood, who has represented former Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann in his lawsuits against media outlets that smeared him and his Kentucky classmates in relation to an incident at the 2019 March for Life, led a very public charge to find Rittenhouse a good criminal attorney in response to a tweet from Democratic Rep. Ayanna Pressley, a member of the progressive squad of House members. The Massachusetts congresswoman called Rittenhouse a terrorist.
In his series of tweets, Wood wrote, This young man needs & deserves courageous legal counsel who will fight for him, adding, The fight is for Kyle and for ALL Freedom Loving Americans.

The kid is getting slandered up and down. Wood better start bringing it.
That’s wonderful!!!
In addition to Linn Wood, Michelle Malkin and the GOA have also announced they will be aiding Kyle’s defense.
The DA office is going to wish they had never engaged in such a blatantly political prosecution/persecution.
Ayanna Pressley and her ilk are a cancer on our body politic. If we keep down the path pols like her have in mind for us, we’ll end up worse than Somalia.
This kid will end up being the second multi-millionaire funded by CNN.
Liberals are complete morons.
as he says beware of other sites puporting to be legitimate.
You have hurt mainstream media by destroying them financially.
Journalist malpractice must have severe punitive financial consequences.
Rittenhouse’s case deserves the best support possible for sure. It’s a legal struggle for freedom that needs to be won for all Americans.

Perhaps not. Sandeman was not a public figure and was passive in the face of aggression. The press deliberately, and falsely portrayed him as the aggressor.
Rittenhouse was armed and actively engaging with non peaceful protestors in a public street. He chose to insert himself into a situation where violence was occurring. The prosecutors and press will argue he deliberately inserted himself into the public arena and his brandishing a firearm openly was aggressive behavior in the public arena. He chose to engage with the mob, by deliberately going into a dangerous situation unlike Sandeman who was passive, peaceful and had no way of expecting he would be forced into an encounter with a hostile activist.
If Rittenhouse sues the press for libel the defense will be Rittenhouse made himself a public figure and therefore the press is shielded from its disparaging statements. Even if Rittenhouse is found not guilty in criminal court, based on self defense, CNN will still argue in a civil suit Rittenhouse consciously made himself a public figure by going to the scene where violence was likely, the press would be covering it, and Rittenhouse chose to put himself in a situation where he would engage with rioters off private property.
If on private property and defending that property from looting, the citizen is not a public figure. The minute the citizen steps off private property, into the public street, he or she has actively chosen to enter the public domain, particularly if the citizen is openly displaying a firearm and knows violence is occurring in that public street. The citizen becomes an active participant, not a passive observer.
Before I get flamed, I have no issue with the second amendment or self defense. The prosecutor has the authority under our stem to file charges if there is even a weak case for the filing. After a complete review of the evidence, which has not yet occurred, the prosecutor can drop the charges or proceed to trial. If the case goes to trial the prosecutor must prove the case, beyond a reasonable doubt, to a jury.
Ive learned the past few years not to judge based on initial press reports, edited video, social media commentary, or other evidence presented outside a courtroom. Under our system Rittenhouse is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Just like the police officers in the George Floyd case he is entitled to due process. Responsible, freedom loving, citizens will support a fair trial no matter their personal opinions regarding guilt and innocence.
Everyone else should help out by cutting their cable tv
Thanks for posting that.

Freedom Loving Americans must #FightBack. The time is now.
Journalists should be walking the gauntlet like repubs had to do last night after the RNC.
They should be doxxed and have people visit their homes with bullhorns and bright lights.
Cops and repubs do not deserve this but the msm certainly does.

re-post screen cap of LinWood's original tweet:
One was a child molester, one was a domestic violence felon, one was a burglar.
The peaceful protesting felons attacked Rittenhouse with a molotov cocktail, a skateboard, and a pistol.
It was clear cut self defense.
Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
Several posters have indicated that the gas station he was "defending" was his father's workplace, that he had cleaned up there the day before, and that his father was present. If that should be true, would that change the argument that he was inserting himself into a dangerous situation. And if true, would being chased onto public property change the equation. I admit I'm a bit skeptical of that statement, since it would have invalidated the charge of illegal possession of a firearm, underage. And the fact that his father appears no where on the scene.
Let's take another angle to that statement;
If RittenhouseSandemann sues the press for libel the defense will be RittenhouseSandemann made himself a public figure and therefore the press is shielded from its disparaging statements.
I don't know if the defense even tried that nonsense angle, and if they did, it didn't work then and it won't work now.
