“Not going to happen. China needs us more than we need them.”

I think China is in bad shape with the Virus, Floods, and famine caused by locust and different pig/bird flu’s. China’s problems in 2020 are biblical. I think that the Dam could break soon then it will be biblical as it can get.

China is cutting back on food aid to North Korea now. North Korea is rounding up people’s pet dogs for food.

They are hiding all their problems from the world.

Would China CCP start a war to stay in power?

With all China's problems as you stated above, I don't think so. I realize some countries have tried to alleviate their internal strife with a war that gears up production. I don't think China will because their crappy exports are diminishing due to American tariffs and now Covid. Without the West's huge purchasing, they might shrink back to their feudal days. They may try for a regional was against Taiwan, but then they have many nations that are now pissed at them for Covid-19. I think they will just devolve in power and just maybe the party will fall. Just IMHO.

“Would China (CCP) start a war to stay in power?”

They are under exceptional stress, and might view a Trump re-election as an existential threat.

I think a big factor, could also be internal CCP politics - Xi trying to keep control, and others seeing their opportunity.
