Dell Loy Hansen's ownership of Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals FC and Real Monarchs SLC is coming to an end. Major League Soccer announced Sunday morning that Hansen will begin the process of selling Utah Soccer Holdings, the local company that owns the three teams that compete in MLS, the National Women's Soccer League, and the second-division USL Championship.

Get out before it completely collapses.
I’ve always wanted to own a sports team. I wonder how much money I have in my change jar. Probably not enough. I better look between the couch cushions, too.
Soccer - just slightly more boring than baseball.
Hansen has been under investigation by MLS and the NWSL since Thursday after comments rose to the surface that included racially charged remarks and incidents during his tenure as majority of RSL.
Hold off another month and they’ll probably pay you to take it.
“Think I’ll buy me a football team!”
Heh, heh. That’s going to take at least 10 bags of aluminum cans I would think.
Joe Ive been a sports fan my hole life.
There are many different ways to spend money on entertainment.
Get woke!
Go broke.
No to any sport that puts up with this shit.
Prima donna’s can kiss my ass.
MLB, NHL, NBA, Soccer et all can all go broke.
That's a fair trade.
These are just accusations. Everyone should be troubled by the free fall acceleration that is occurring with cancel culture. It is terrifying that anyone could be forced to do anything with their property. Much less when it is based on absolute BS that hasnt even had the opportunity to be investigated much less countered. I guess if the writing on the wall is the owner gets out at a premium compared to where it is heading he benefits? Still, this is yet another dot as to where we are heading.
virtually all sports entertainment will remain profitable for the owners.
However when viewership drops and the money from TV broadcast rights tank, that is when the billionaire owners will feel the pitch and affect player salaries and roster size. even buying league sponsored clothing puts $$$ into owners and players coffers.
I love sports, but I’m at the point of shutting them all down for an extend period. When the 2 NBA teams decided to not play 2 days ago. If the owners had b@alls, owners should have called their bluff and shut it all down.
But owners ultimately are businessman and always looking for ways to profit, even during turmoil.
Look at Joe Gibbs - he got tired of coaching millionaire @ssh0les. He channeled his talents to horse racing. Then NASCAR. I expect him to cash out of JG Racing soon tho.
