Fleet Of Moving Trucks Seen In Manhattan’s Upper West Side: ‘Mass Evacuation In Full Effect’
Breitbart ^ | 8-30-2020 | Amy Furr

Posted on 08/30/2020 3:18:49 PM PDT by blam

A string of moving trucks was spotted in Manhattan’s Upper West Side on Saturday, according to Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa.

“The mass evacuation of Upper West Siders from NYC is in full effect,” he told the New York Post.

Sliwa blamed the city’s decision to house hundreds of homeless people in the neighborhood’s hotels for the exodus.

“The moment I walked out on my block, near Central Park West, there was a moving truck. I asked where you going, and they said, ‘Virginia.’ They told me, ‘Curtis, first the pandemic hit us and now the quality of life is so bad,'” he recalled.

Sliwa spoke to others moving to places such as New Hampshire and Tennessee, and one young family told him they were headed to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

“They said in the last month, there have been so many disturbed people in the streets, aggressively panhandling, defecating, urinating — they leave the hotels and have no bathrooms to use,” he explained.

Following complaints from residents, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) promised August 17 to start removing homeless people from the city’s hotels and get them back into shelter facilities.

However, he did not give a timeline as to when that process would begin, according to Breitbart News.

Safety was more a motivating factor for people leaving U.S. cities than the coronavirus pandemic, global investor Barry Sternlicht said Tuesday during an interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box.

“There’s hundreds of thousands of people looking for suburban homes, and I would say it’s not as driven by the Covid situation as it is safety and law and order, and that is now pervasive across the big cities of the United States, sadly,” he stated.

Unicoi county, Erwin, TN, God’s Country nestled in the foothill;s of the Appalachian chain. Go from Johnson Vity to Asheville in an hour; Unicoi is on that stretch of I-26.

Stay out of TN, SC, NC, GA, and FL - we don’t want you here either.

Add OK to the list. :-)

Hell, I feel worst for the Rats dragging home some pizza to survive. God have them a bad hand. Humans have all the opportunity, yes some more than others. Yet many are more than happy bitching and moaning with their hands out.

Check the voter registration records ...Anyone who voted for the communists should be forced to stay in the mess they are responsible for!

Need a 100% quarantine established and send U.S. Marshalls to chase down and return all escapees...

Yep. Tons of BLM signs is UPPER-class neighborhoods in Mclean, Va and Falla Church (according to another poster).

Folks on here better wake the hell up as to the looming threat upon us. I see a chicom/US corporate collaborative takedown of capitalism as we know it. I believe it all stems from the unmasking and blackmailing enough GOPers into instituting Barr as AG. The only hope we have is ferreting those GOPers and installing a pro-Trump AG. No one could convince me the DOJ/Intel community doesn’t have the
capability to root out the network(s) behind Antifa/BLM?

We’re are only one or a few short steps away from going hot.

Much appreciated. It’s beautiful there. I was reading about the area’s history before we went (and just double-checked), that’s where they hanged an elephant for murder. Got to love that spirit.

“Sliwa spoke to others moving to places such as New Hampshire...”
.

.
“Sliwa explained Saturday that the people who lived in the area were those who elected de Blasio as mayor.”

Great ... more friggen Commies moving to my state to bring their filth with them. I wish there was a way to filter this human debris at the border and “deport” them back to their hellhole.

Folks, lets take a chill pill here shall we?
I lived with in New York a long time and I am as conservative as anyone.
You guys seem to forget that before DeBlasio, there were 20 straight years of Republican rule as mayor in New York City consisting of 5 terms, starting with Giuliani.
Also Republican Pataki served three straight terms as governor of New York State.
No party rules forever in any state.
Don't forget that even red states like Kentucky and Kansas currently have Dem governors. Does it mean everyone in Kansas is flaming leftists? Of course not.
After the nightmare with DeBlasio I doubt if many of those fleeing New York are going to be voting for any far left lunatics like DeBlasio anytime soon. I can guarantee you, if DeBlasio were to stand for office today in New York, he'd lose. Good thing he can't run again

Bloomberg was one of the most efficient, most competent, least corrupt mayors New York City ever had.
He had his quirks like soda bans and what not sure, but he was a very good mayor.
He financed all his campaigns himself, owed no favors to anyone, had no loyalty to the good ole boys of the Dem machine or anyone. He totally did what he thought was best for New York.
Comparing Bloomberg to DeBlasio is like comparing the sun to the moon.

Definitely. I think the GOP, as a party, needs to do more about defending its candidates and also calling attention to the attacks on them. The press tries to minimize or completely ignore this, so it’s not going to be made public unless the party itself does it.

It’s true in NYC, but as you point out, it’s true everywhere. There’s massive pressure against Republicans in our big cities, and the party organization does nothing to fight back.
