GOP lawmakers want probe into financing, organization of riots.
Conservative pressure is mounting on Attorney General William Barr and his Justice Department to ratchet up investigations of violent rioters across the country, specifically to identify those funding and organizing the mayhem.
Rep. Ken Buck, R-Calif., and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, made weekend appeals for DOJ to take action to cut off funding and logistical support for the groups of rioters that have terrorized and destroyed American cities for months.
“Law enforcement needs to look at the funding of violent criminal activity like this. And national Democrats need to confront it. It’s organized. It’s paid for. It’s violent. It’s not about Black lives or any lives; it’s about anarchy and destruction,” Paul wrote in a Fox News op-ed on Saturday.
The Kentucky senator’s comments came after he and his wife was confronted by an angry mob in Washington DC while leaving President Trump’s nominating convention acceptance speech Thursday night.
Paul said some of activists ended up staying on the same floor of his hotel, furthering his concern for safety.
Buck tweeted his concerns on Sunday, saying it was time for DOJ to follow the money.
"The Justice Department needs to open an investigation into who is funding these violent riots," Buck wrote.

I’m sure that Soros has engaged in clever accounting practices to hide his financial support. But forensic accounting is not a new concept. The DOJ should know where to look and should know what its looking for. If DOJ can’t put the dots together then that really says something about their competence (or willingness to make an effort).
How the hell does that even happen? I thought, especially for an event such as the RNC convention, security would be heightened not only at the venue, but where Republican Congress people and their families would be staying?
If material support can be established and proven, those involved should be liable for damages. We’re in the billions now.

I suspect the main culprit in all this is the $600/week unemployment check that millions of these mutants are getting. The U.S. taxpayers are subsidizing an entire cohort of idle @ssholes.
These Democrat mayors and governors SHOULD have stopped this crap a long time ago, but the feds CAN stop it whenever they want.
There should not have to be any pressure mounting. An investigation should have been launched long before now.
There is no urgency to do anything if it is just us little people, but these “beltway politicians” realize that they will be faced with this harrassment again and again, so THEY will pressure Barr into doing something.

Barr will get right to this. He will get right on it, and demand answers as robust and timely as the Durham investigation has produced.

Sadly there is no reason that pressure should need to be applied to the DOJ, they should already be investigating, that is if they weren’t so busy trying to cover up the past!
I certainly hope that President Trump in his second term learns how to hire and set goals for department heads.
Why is the Justice Department the very last one to act ? Rand Paul dies or gets beat up! Fire Wray ASAP the guy is useless. If they don’t act people will die. Or the unthinkable a Civil War!
Barr knows EXACTLY who is financing these violent criminals. He’s ignoring them until they overstep so badly that he CANNOT ignore them anymore.

Christopher Wray's FBI should be and should have been all over this. By now, the FBI should have provided Barr's DOJ with all the information it needs for indictments. I put the blame for the lack of action here on Wray. He can be told to investigate, but he should have been all over it for months.
