That’s one of the things that I found really striking about the GOP convention.

They had a number of black Americans speaking in support of Trump. Some were Democrats. I am sure that I would have a number of areas of disagreement with most of them, but they were sane, rational, based their opinions in some sort of fact, and seemed like they were open to rational discussion and reason. You could do business and arrive at consensus and reasonable compromise with them.

The black Americans the media wants to show you are members of extreme activist groups who just want to shut-down all discussion and scream RAAAAAAAACIST! at you.

I’m very critical of the GOP but will admit that the convention format, speakers and overall constructive tone greatly exceeded my expectations. It may be that the success of the convention was more attributable to the guiding hand of Trump staff that it was to the RNC but overall it was an outstanding event championing the views of normal, rational Americans.
