Yesterday I heard some idiot say that white folks don’t need “the talk.” Then they said that “the talk” was daddy saying, “Obey the police.”
WHAT?!
My daddy said to obey the police... my teacher... the coach... my pastor... my mother...
Not in that order, by the way.

My Daddy taught me not to stare into the barrel of a gun and pull the trigger to see if it was loaded - also taught me to not check for live wires by feel - and not to lay my hand on a hot stove - not attacking cops who approached me was a no-brainer.
