Piles of mail were found in two separate locations in Glendale Thursday morning, including one incident where a rented truck was captured on surveillance video dumping bags of unopened letters and packages in the parking lot of a business.
The first incident was reported at 7:30 a.m., in the 1000 block of Allen Avenue, according to Glendale Police Department Sgt. Christian Hauptmann.
Roughly two hours later, police received another call regarding dumped mail, this time behind a business in the 1600 block of Glenoaks Boulevard, according to Hauptmann.
It was the second reported incident outside 7Q Spa Laser & Aesthetics where surveillance video captured the moment a rented truck dumped bags of unopened mail and took off.
It happened early in the morning, 5:40, and it was a Budget rental big truck that backed up to the parking lot. And theyre like, slowly, one by one, theyre dropping the packages, Lilia Serobian, one of the medical spas owners, said.
She said the huge pile contained various sizes of packages all of it U.S. mail.
The truck was definitely not a USPS truck, Serobian added.
A spa employee found the large mound of boxes and envelopes in the parking lot, and police were called out to the scene. A USPS manager came and collected the tossed mail.
More U.S. mail was found in an alley less than a mile away from the spa, according to police. It was not immediately clear whether both piles were dumped by the same truck.
Postal Service investigators are looking into the dumping incidents, Glendale police said.

Practicing for the election, obviously.................
Ballot test run?
Why would anyone go to the trouble of doing this?
More fuel for Trump to end mail-in ballots. SCOTUS should find this disturbing.
Newman!
Definitely a test run.
Well there go those early ballots from Republicans.
What could possibly go wrong with Universal Mail-in Balloting? You have no proof, they like to say.
Been up going on for years...the carrier wants to finish his route and go home.
“Why would anyone go to the trouble of doing this?”
Postal union efforts to discredit Trump’s newly appointed head of the USPS who is trying to streamline and modernize operations. It is an old fashion union slowdown and screw up operations tactic. Timed for the election to damage Trump. It is being amplified by the complicit media and Democrat politician. The post office lost $8 billion dollars last year.
I used to deliver mail. About 50 years ago for the US Postal Service here in the city of L.A.
While it’s even a little fu n to deliver letters, delivering outsized pieces of mail and bulk mailing advertisements is a PITA. That’s why communities find bundles of bulk mail advertisements chucked in a vacant lot by a wayward letter carrier.
But the PO is struggling and the bulk ail people are about the only paying customer keeping them afloat.
Agreed and been going on forever as you point out. I would get notes from people saying “Don’t put advertising or bulk mail in my mailbox”. A postal worker cannot do that. the bulk mailing people have PAID THE POST OFFICE to give you the mail. It is not up to them to help you dispose of it.
[Luckily I spent the last 40 years or so in the stock market and left the mail to someone else.]
I wonder if we’ll be told the results of the investigation.
Just a set up so when a truck dumps thousands of fake balotts during election people will automatically assume they are legit balotts stolen out of the USPS mainstream. They’ll be counted without question.
The national letter carriers union has endorsed Biden.
What else do you need to know about the reliability of the mails in an election cycle?
Meanwhile, the national Fraternal Order of Police has endorsed Trump.
These are drop locations. To be taken to boiler rooms to complete Biden’s votes. Sadly, intercepted. Oh well, off to the printers again.
5:40 AM?
Think again. That seems like the end of sorting shift.
BTW - would that be some Federal offense?
Sorry,didnt see the time....and yes,a Federal,offense.
