Agree. I am sure Trump weighed the option of firing Wray and somewhat less sure, thought it a bridge too far.
No doubt Trump knows what a mistake Wray is. He probably knew during confirmation and when just about every rat voted for hm he must have thought “why did l listen to whoever recommended the rat mole”. You are right he cannot fire him..yet.
