AND DOES CLIMATE CHANGE END AT THE CANADIAN BORDER?

Somebody slap the crap out of this idiot and tell him to shut up and go away. 50 years of forrest mismanagement and no logging have destroyed California. When I grew up there were saw mills and logging all over the Sierra forrest and now they are all gone and the forrest overgrown. PG&E stopped clearing trees from lines as they were forced to pay for alternative energy and close nuclear plants. Antifa arsonists up in Portland and Washington and vagrants and illegals and nuts starting fires in California. Bark Beatles destroying trees wholesale because of overgrowth and not climate change. The Sierra has always had cycles of wet and drought.

But again Canada does not have these issues and miraculously the fires stop at the Canadian border. Mounties must make great fire fighters Aye?

We need to stop saying Canada does not have wildfires. They do. Huge ones. They generally let them burn on the West side because extinguishing them is not a realistic option.

I can tell you this for a fact. The past few years there have been hundreds of them in Canada.

They have a different outlook on “fire” than we do and they protect rural towns and let nature do its thing.

“The Sierra has always had cycles of wet and drought.” I remember the Sierras when you could still come out in the morning and see them to include Mt. Whitney.

And lightening strike fires that thinned out the forests yearly to cut back that overgrowth you mentioned were just nature taking care of itself. The Yuroks that were there first (14th century) to the Yahi Tribe were killed in the California genocide in the 19th century know about the fires better than the politicians now.

Of the indian tribes of today in California, 108 registered tribes and almost 100 reservations, I wish they would step forward and stand up to this mismanagement of the land in California. They had it right.
