“Every principal in NYC is banging their head against the wall.” “Their”? This is an “educator”?

"Their" is possessive. "There" indicates a direction. What's your problem?

“Every principal” is singular. “Their” is a plural pronoun. That’s a singular / plural mismatch.

I just had to laugh at an “educator” getting this basic grammar wrong. But it isn’t surprising.
