Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us].
Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
1Pet 1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers;

Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

I refuse to listen to him because of these.

I recognize the state tyranny, but lets not idolize someone who is wrong on many levels

Nobody’s “idolizing” MacArthur, here; they’ve chosen to back him up as his church board has chosen to ride out in the vanguard of a battle that’s affected every church in CA. In that manner, his conversation stands proxy for us all in driving a stake into the Solid Rock and binding themselves to it, come what may.

We may yet see him before a Judge quoting Martin Luther, “Here I stand, I cannot do otherwise. God help me. Amen.” And we ought all be ready to add our own “Amen” to the building crescendo.

Well the first video was just nonsense......playing with the vide didn’t help make the point...which frankly wasn’t made.

Further had Jesus not been victorius in the Garden none of that which followed would have mattered.

There’s a lot of twisting and turning in those links to attempt to discredit him. I don’t buy it.

I watched most of the first linked video and have seldom seen a more biased portrayal. I agree with him: Jesus' shed blood is a euphemism for his death.

Old Testament sacrifices were accomplished by slitting the animals' throats so they would bleed to death. The blood was an important visible and literary symbol of their death--but their death, not their shed blood, was the point. When Scripture refers to blood it means death. Indeed, Jesus bled to death, fulfilling the Scriptural pattern.

This is not hard. To argue otherwise confuses process with outcome and is splitting hairs and sophistry. If your other arguments are no better, your ill-will agenda does you no honor.

Matthew 5:11-13

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

I disagreed with Pastor MacArthur on the blood of Christ being a "euphamism" for his death. I believe it is an intentional dysphamism (new word for me). Blood is offensive. Drinking blood is profoundly offensive.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life

I don’t understand these blood-deniers either. It’s very hard to *sprinkle* the blood of the sacrifice, if you do not have the *blood*.

Hebrews 9:12-14 (KJV)
[12] Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
[13] For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
[14] How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Everything sprinkled and purged with his blood.

We can expect such mishandling of the word of God by Calvinists who believe that *all* does not mean *all* (without exception, otherwise it means *some*, not *all*).

Not even

the eternal sonship of Christ

Never heard him preach on the topic

whether people who get the mark can repent

Agree, he's wrong on that one ...

I refuse to listen to him because of these.

You're looking at it wrong. Just because I disagree with him on one point doesn't mean he is wrong elsewhere.

Keep the good ... throw out the bad ...
