Not being able to verify signatures will end up being widespread. In New Hampshire we are under a federal court order not to verify signatures since the court believed that doing so would disenfranchise people whose signatures varied over time, or were poorly written.

The various Democrats who are advocating for mail in voting are the same people filing the lawsuits to prevent signature verification.

Back when real ID cr@p was being halfheartedly being instituted they required everyone to sign documents using full name on our birth certificate. The fact that I never had signed my full name anywhere because it was misspelled on my birth certificate didn't matter so my signature doesn't look anything like something I signed. I would be happy to include a thumbprint on ballot that can be matched with DMV records. Most states I think require that anymore.
