Exact same thing happened on Baltimore. City threw the police under the bus, police said screw you, and looked the other way and all but stopped proactive work and took their time to respond to calls. Then the city wonders why crime increased and demands the police fix it.

I’m sure a social worker will step in any day now and talk with those street racers, carjackers, arsonists and murderers and discuss their feelings about why they need to shoot and carjack people.
I guess it’s really true that you can’t fix stupid.
