Exactly. I was in a checkout line recently, and apparently I got too close to the person in front of me. I had my mask hanging off of my left ear.
The woman told me to get back and then said, “You’re supposed to be wearing your mask!”
I was highly irritated and didn’t, at first, pull my mask up, though I did back away. Then I caved. She got her way.
I hate how life has changed since this cr*p changed the world. And I feel bad for the very young people, who will never know what life was like before Covid. They won’t know the freedom we had.
How awful that you were polite and considerate!
I fully appreciate what a horror that must have been for you!
On a more serious note, there will not be a ‘new normal’ of less freedom form this virus outbreak.
We’ll overcome and continue as before.

If they don’t, it likely will be because of people that thought their right to infect others was being infringed and who therefore refused to wear a mask.
If people had just masked up for a few weeks or stayed quarantined at the beginning, instead of treating it like a joke or infringement of imaginary rights and displaying their weapons-grade ODD for all to see, there wouldn’t be a need for masks now. We wouldn’t be having 1,000 deaths per day (slightly outpacing the average deaths-per-day from the Spanish Flu and all the other flus combined *100 years ago* when we had much worse medical capabilities). And the vaccine that so many fear might never be needed, much less mandatory, which is the way it looks like it might go. Especially in communist Canada where you apparently live for some reason.
