McConnell Statement On The Passing Of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (Trump's Nominee Will Get A Vote!)
republicanleader.senate.gov ^ | 09.18.20

The Senate and the nation mourn the sudden passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the conclusion of her extraordinary American life.

Justice Ginsburg overcame one personal challenge and professional barrier after another. She climbed from a modest Brooklyn upbringing to a seat on our nation’s highest court and into the pages of American history. Justice Ginsburg was thoroughly dedicated to the legal profession and to her 27 years of service on the Supreme Court. Her intelligence and determination earned her respect and admiration throughout the legal world, and indeed throughout the entire nation, which now grieves alongside her family, friends, and colleagues.

***

In the last midterm election before Justice Scalia’s death in 2016, Americans elected a Republican Senate majority because we pledged to check and balance the last days of a lame-duck president’s second term. We kept our promise. Since the 1880s, no Senate has confirmed an opposite-party president’s Supreme Court nominee in a presidential election year.

By contrast, Americans reelected our majority in 2016 and expanded it in 2018 because we pledged to work with President Trump and support his agenda, particularly his outstanding appointments to the federal judiciary. Once again, we will keep our promise.

President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.

This will be epic. If you smell smoke it’s lefties hair on fire. This will get uglier. Be vigilant and be safe. Fore warned is for armed.

For those here predicting the vote would not happen until January.
YOU were wrong...again. A vote will proceed.
Senate RINO’s will either kill off the GOP for good or vote in a new conservative
SC Justice.

Doubtful. There are enough GOP Senators who won’t do it.

“Chuck would do it...so good on Mitch! That’s how you play the game.”

Yep, and I think, with the election getting closer and the Republicans not running strong, a lot of Republicans in the Senate started seeing their ‘friends across the aisle’ starting to salivate at the thought of total power and maybe now, for the first time in the lives of these Republicans Senators, they’re FINALLY getting to understand just who the Democrats are and why they need to be stopped, at all costs.

Great. Trump nominated a full-on Nazi mass murderer to succeed Justice Ginsburg! I also think we need a congressional investigation regarding Russian interference in his choice of nominee!

Amy Coney Barrett? Hopefully someone who’s a committed conservative, not some Federalist Society “strict textualist” who will strictly textualize her way to liberal rulings like Gorsuch did.

Go Mitch. The other player is Lindsey Graham. As the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, he will set the rules for the hearings for the nominee. He is losing in his attempt to win reelection to the Senate. He had better step up and get the nominee to the floor of the Senate before the election, or he is dead in SC.

YOU GO, Cocaine Mitch!!!

.....and he’d better WHIP the RINO @ssholes to fall in line or face SEVERE party discipline.

....AS IF F*** Schumer wouldn’t do the same!

Murkowski should be removed from committees and be reassigned to a small basement office, preferably a foul-smelling storage closet with a urinal in it.

This is the problem I always have with this. Okay. We have a big tent. Everyone has their agendas, their parochial priorities. But if you are in a party, this is NUT CRACKING TIME. This is where you support the party. Why should you get help from the party when you are not there when you are needed? Republicans should purge anyone who doesn’t toe the line here.

McConnell made it clear. There will be a vote.
RINO’s can vote against Trumps nominee and
kill off the GOP for good or confirm Trumps nominee.
