Holder Says Democrats Have to Do This if Trump Fills Supreme Court Vacancy

The Democrats' true colors are showing through, for those who couldn't seem them clearly already. Former US Attorney General Eric Holder joined other Democrats on Saturday in calling on Joe Biden and Senate Democrats to pack the Supreme Court if they retake power in November. Holder said the conservative majority on the Supreme Court would be "illegitimate" if President Trump fullfills his Constitutional obligation to fill the Supreme Court vacancy left by the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

"You would have a conservative majority on the court, an illegitimate conservative majority on the court, ruling on these matters that will affect the nation, you know, for generations to come," Holder lamented to MSNBC's Al Sharpton.

After lamenting about the nomination of Merrick Garland, who Obama futilely put forth during an election year when his party was out of power in the Senate, Holder said Democrats must rewrite the Constitution in order to pack the Supreme Court with liberals.

"If in fact they are successful in placing a justice on the court, I think what Democrats have to do, assuming that Biden is president and there is a Senate majority for the Democrats, we need to think about court reform. And at a minimum, as part of that reform package, I think additional justices need to placed on the Supreme Court."

This has been the plan all along, even before Ginsburg's death. Democrats can't wait to end the filibuster and rip up the Constitution so they can force their left-wing agenda on the American people. Anyone who reveres the country and the Constitution cannot let these people gain power.

EEven Ruth Bader Ginsburg opposed the idea of packing the Supreme Court.

"...Democrats must rewrite the Constitution in order to pack the Supreme Court with liberals."

I doubt he said that since I'm sure he's aware that it doesn't require changing the Constitution.

Scalia was murdered. Nothing was ever done about this crime.

Therefore, nothing is out of bounds for these people.

Democrats are like Muslims in many ways; one is their unshakable belief that any ground claimed is theirs forever.

The 75th Congress, which rejected FDR’s plan to enlarge or “pack” the Supreme Court, had only 17 Republicans in the Senate and only 89 Republicans in the House of Representatives. The Senate then had 96 members (4 Senators belonged to other parties). The House had 435 members (including 333 Democrats and 13 from other parties). Even with such an overwhelming majority, the Democrats resisted tampering with the size of the Court. But don’t expect any restraint in 2021 if they have a majority in the Senate and a Democrat in the White House.

Eeeevunnn. Who talked like that? One of the cartoon characters around Jellystone Park? Yogi Bear? Or another gang of characters based on animals? Wasn’t there a moose character and some friends? I’m having too many “senior moments”.

I suggest we get through the Civil War first and then the folks who are left can do what they will with the Supreme Court.

Holder is a traitor and a criminal who needs to be locked up. Let’s not forget his thug demand that people punch Republicans in the stomach

Sooner or later the Democrats will be on top, and then, what’s to stop them?

I don't know for sure that Scalia was murdered but I would not be surprised if that turned out to be true. His death nearly gave Obama a chance to replace a conservative justice with a leftist (Garland has a moderate demeanor but would have been a consistent vote for the leftist bloc on the Court).

Ginsburg's death may give Trump a chance to turn what had been a "progressive" seat on the Court into a conservative, constitutionalist seat.

If the new justice is not confirmed in 2020 and Trump is re-elected, but the Democrats gain control of the Senate, that may force Trump to settle for less than his most-preferred person to replace Ginsburg.

Holder has black eyes, like a doll’s eyes. No life, no soul, no spark in his eyes. Only soulless, selfish evil lust for power and revenge against Whitey.

I think the only way to reduce the size of the Court would be by attrition--setting a new maximum which would not affect those already on the Court. But they would not be replaced when they retired or died until the new maximum had been reached.

When Andrew Johnson was President Congress did not want him to have a chance to pick any Supreme Court justices so they reduced the size of the Court, then returned it to its former size when Grant became President.

The Democrats remind of the kid who realizes he can’t win the game by the rules, and insists on changing the rules mid-game. Except this isn’t a kid’s game.

That might actually be enough to bring about right wing riots, which probably means they will try it.

Democrats can't wait to end the filibuster and rip up the Constitution so they can force their left-wing agenda on the American people.

And the whole time, they will pontificate that they are the ones, in fact, who are "upholding our Constitution."

Sick effin freaks!

That's because upholding the Constitution is a nice sound bite but realistically, at least 75% of the people who hear it in the MSM don't know the Constitution or can't tell it's an outright lie. And of course websites like Snopes don't fact check the claim of upholding the Constitution
