The appointment will be popular on the right.

If Senators wish to be re-elected as Republicans, they will vote confirm.

Ditto for Dem senators in Red states like Montana and Alabama.

They damn well better vote before the election because if McSally loses that’s a special election and d*ckhead Kelly can be in the Senate soon thereafter.

It would be appropriate to hold the full Senate vote while the backhoe is pushing dirt back into the hole. And since Ruth was Jewish, that should happen soon.

And right after the vote to replace Ruth, Pierre Delecto, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski should have all committee appointments canceled. After all, it's tough to be a maverick when you have to follow a schedule.
