I blame McConnell for not keeping these people in line. Romney should have been removed from all committee assignments when he voted for impeachment.

We have three states that are screwing us up in the Senate.Once again its a product of weak mgmt. and not enough attention to primaries.Heres a piece I just ran on another thread here:

We have three failed states IMHO,they are Alaska,Maine and Utah.
Here is what is going on in Alaska from a local paper:
https://www.anchoragepress.com/columnists/glenn-cary-has-to-decide-where-hes-leading-the-alaska-gop/article_d898446a-ff6d-11e9-8be9-8be3f91703de.html
begin copy:
Alas this gala event will not be a success because of a slow-walking crisis within the party that is affecting its internal operations and if this crisis continues will affect it for a decade or more. The crisis I speak of is the civil war that has recently engulfed the party and shows no signs of stopping and is only going to get more vicious as time goes on. That civil war is over two issues; one is the dividend and the other is how the state budget shall be handled. There are two sides to this conflict; one side favors a smaller dividend and structured budget reductions year over year that are surgical in nature and that target waste in state operations. The other side wants a massive dividend and wants a shotgun blast approach to the budget to be taken without regard to the broader consequences for the state.
As with any house divided against itself, this situation will change in terms of one side winning and the other losing. Granted I am a partisan in the conflict that is happening within the party but that does not change the nature of the problem nor the potential solutions.

In order for Glenn to build up the party, he has to decide which direction the party is going to move and then he takes the party in that direction. Until he does that the battles will continue to be waged until the party chooses its direction forward.
end copy.
...................
So it seems these people are all upset because they are only going to get $1,600 for sitting on their asses while big oil does the work. What a shame.
What Alaska needs is a tough no nonsense person who will kick some ass when it needs kicking. No more murkowski’s who will not stand up for the country when the time comes.
Once again it’s time for strong leadership to get rid of Rinos and whinos in Alaska.Someone needs to light a fire under Glenn Carys butt and get him moving or get someone who will get the state moving.Strong leadership is the answer and Alaska does not seem to have it now.
........................
What king of hold does Mitt Romney have on Utah.
It’s clear that some are not so happy with the Trump hating Illuminati Senator. Here’s a piece from Red State:

https://www.redstate.com/sister-toldjah/2020/07/20/pro-lifer-paints-different-kind-of-blm-mural-near-utah-planned-parenthood-mitt-romney-nowhere-to-be-found/
begin copy:
Apparently that “some messages ‘matter’ more than others” thing also applies to Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), who marched shoulder to shoulder with Black Lives Matter protesters in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd, has been nowhere to be found on Hansen’s mural, not on Facebook, nor Twitter, nor Instagram. This in spite of the devastating impact abortion has had on the lives of unborn black children.

Perhaps I shouldn’t’t be so harsh. Maybe he’s just taking the time to carefully revise his position on abortion for the, what, 10th or 11th time (?) in his decades-long political career.
Here’s a post from the same thread from red state:

progerp • 2 months ago
Romney would take a knife and kill a thousand fetuses, if he thought it would help him appeal to the liberals he believes are going to win in November. While Judas was willing to give Christ a kiss so the Romans could make sure they had the right man, Romney would have stabbed him in the back and used the thirty pieces of silver to finance his next campaign.
6
end copy.
Seems some have figured Mittens out yet he remains as a Utah Senator:
Seems Rona Romney Mcdaniel, state RNC head, may have had enough of her uncle Mitts non-sense and is breaking with him. Maybe she will run for the Senate since someone needs to bring some common sense back to Utah instead of Mittens and his: hate Trump 24/7.
Anyway maybe Utah is seeing the light and will get new and better candidates for the state.
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/10/utah_voters_turn_against_mitt_romney_and_mike_lee_too.html

Looks like the tide may turn at least for some pubbies in Utah although strong Republicans still lean toward Mittens at least as of last year. Let’s hope that trend moves so both of these rino senators can be replaced with bigger and better in Utah.Remember it’s all about the primaries.
......................
Maine illustrates just how a rino Senator can screw things up and few have screwed up the potus more than Collins.Even voting with him most of the time is not enough. We need a strong conservative who is not afraid to espouse conservative values even in a messed up state like Maine.
Strength in leadership wins mealy mouth rinoism will loose sooner or later which current polling seems to suggest.

https://www.rollcall.com/2020/08/25/sen-susan-collins-supports-trump-head-of-maine-gop-says/

https://bangordailynews.com/2020/09/11/opinion/contributors/why-two-lifelong-maine-republicans-are-voting-for-joe-biden/

Obviously there are some serious problems in Maine. These people just are so ignorantly stupid they don’t belong anywhere near political office. They are basically dems in Republican clothing.
Without other Republicans coming out and blasting these idiots who dare call themselves Republicans what hope is there for Maine?
Here’s some of what this pathetic piece from a local rag in Maine has to say about two lifelong pubbies who are selling out conservative values because of orange hair hate:
Begin copy:

“Why would lifelong Republicans take a public stand in support of the Democratic nominee for the nation’s highest office? Because, to us, the choice is clear.

Sadly, Donald Trump has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that he lacks the honesty, integrity, empathy and leadership skills our nation so badly needs to overcome the crises of a pandemic, racial unrest and economic upheaval.

As Republicans, we know we will disagree with Biden on a number of policy issues.(these two are so stupid they dont even realize that biden won’t be running the show!!) But honest policy differences are the American way.(yeah from a conservative republican like Trump to a commie whomever they choose) The current trend of divisive, insulting and corrosive rhetoric modeled daily by Trump is not sustainable. The unwillingness to respect differences of opinion is tearing our nation apart at the seams,(what lie that is Trump respects all American values and always has) even to the point of dividing families and friends.(more BS)

By contrast, Biden is a tested leader who has been tempered by adversity and tragic loss. He has the maturity,(Biden is done hes toast—hes senile you idiots) intellectual discipline and leadership skills that can help heal a divided nation. He understands we must be Americans before we are partisans.(no one has sabotaged the country more than slo joe and his kid—where have thee two been?) He has shown the capacity to work respectfully with Republicans to find common ground.(yeah he will work with mittens, mccain, bush, most all criminal pubbies)

To be fair, the president did not create the divisiveness of 21st-century politics, but he has championed it, promoted it and branded it, embracing the role of divider in chief.(what idiots,no one has made America any greater than Trump has for the last four years) For four years, we’ve watched him disrespect, disregard and diminish the office he holds with his blatant falsehoods, outrageous and insulting Tweets and childish name-calling. His ugly brand of politics is doing great harm to our country and to the party we have long supported.(the only ones doing harm to the country are you two bozos)
Trump flagrantly, even proudly, abuses the power of his office to benefit himself. He has undermined the Justice Department and the rule of law, encouraged foreign adversaries to meddle in our elections and seeks to suppress the votes of those who depend on the U.S. Postal Service to deliver their ballots. We watch a White House in constant chaos as a parade of top administration officials depart, unable to work with an erratic, undisciplined and unethical president.
The hubris and inability of the president to admit or learn from his mistakes has prevented him from coming to terms with the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic that has killed more than 190,000 Americans and crippled our economy.

He attacks America’s steadfast allies and the free press, but praises murderous dictators and ruthless autocrats who flatter him even as they crush freedom and democracy.

He mocks and insults American soldiers, war heroes and Gold Star families, but praises white supremacists as “very fine” people.
end copy.
..................
Not a mention of what Trump has done for the economy. How he has passed tariffs that reverse hundreds of billions of monetary losses for US citizens and corps.,no mention of getting rid of ISIS or getting our military out of endless wars from Afghanistan to the entirety of the mid east,no mention of building the wall.
Who the hell are these idiots to even suggest that they are Republicans.Maine needs a complete revamping of the Republican party if it wants to compete in a competitive environment that exists in todays world.Idiot crybabies like this do not belong in the party.
......................
Bottom line all three of these states have one thing in common:they need to pay much closer attention to getting strong conservative leaders in the primaries. No matter how far left a state drifts when voters are given a choice of strong conservative leadership they usually make the correct choice.WIthout it we see the result.
Right now we have a Senate vote coming up on what will likely be a conservative woman for scotus to take the place of RBG which is long overdue.
We will need every single Republican vote just to get to a tie that Pence will override. We should never have to be that close to losing a chance for a 5/4 victory in scotus. Our head of scotus John Roberts is obviously compromised and we desperately need the fifth vote. The rats know it and we know it so let’s stop forgetting the primaries and just how important they are.

Good morning, Pat. Hard to figure out why no action was taken against Romney. Utah can find another Rep to represent a solid red state in 2022.

Seems instead of telling her children and grandchildren how much she loved them, to have a good life, to remember the good times of a life well-lived, seems Ruth expressed a hope that her replacement would not be made until after the election.

I concur.
I described RGB as a broken person. She wanted her family to ensure the “right” person got her SCOTUS seat, and the right person made that nomination. Well, time ran out and RGB prolly missed out on quality time with her family

Pat, et al, I have a crazy take on it...the Left and the Swamp has no more plays...their livelihoods they have banked on income (billions$$$) ...they know chaos is their only chance, so they’ve pushed all chips in the center...here is my theory:

Nancy and Soros likely bumped her off to give Biden an excuse to not debate and to cause maximal chaos for the election, and lean on the press to help them stop PDJT and Senate from replacing her soon...expediting her death by assisted suicide, which RBG would have approved of since it is godless and very European...no coincidences. She wanted to be valuable to her only cause...Marxism.
