Ted Cruz already said he isn’t interested. That leaves Mike Lee as the only Senator left.
I can’t imagine any U.S. Senator under the age of 75 would be interested in a Federal court position — even on the U.S. Supreme Court.
They’re going to need every vote they can get.
There was a time when a sitting senator could get easy confirmation but those days are probably gone.
