I think it’s a great idea. A court with this kind of power should have 100m members (i.e. active voters). Ultimately, serious issues that are politically-sensitive should be decided by referendum (i.e. voters). For one thing, we’d immediately see the reinstatement of the death penalty for murder in cases where minors are above the age of 12.

A poor idea that has never succeeded in a free political society... The Founders established a Republic instead of a democracy to prevent such mob-driven totalitarian nonsense that, eventually, accompanies those ideas...

He’ll no! Horrible idea to let the American people decide on things. I used to think this was just dandy until I moved to Florida where the legislators are so lazy that they decide nothing and leave it up to the voters.

Want a tax increase on your property? Just say it’s for school security for 250 dollars per property. Approved!

Want to add a penny to sales tax? Just say it’s for the county hospital. Approved!

You want felons to vote? Just say how unfair it is to have a lifetime ban. Approved!

You want medical marijuana? Just say how unfair it is for grandma to be in so much pain with cancer. Approved!

And those are the ones off the top of my head. Do not trust the electorate ever!!!!!
