Colorado Sen. Cory Gardner released a statement about his position on the U.S. Supreme Court vacancy left by the late-Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Gardner had avoided answering questions from journalists until Monday evening.
“When a President exercises constitutional authority to nominate a judge for the Supreme Court vacancy, the Senate must decide how to best fulfill its constitutional duty of advice and consent. I have and will continue to support judicial nominees who will protect our Constitution, not legislate from the bench, and uphold the law. Should a qualified nominee who meets this criteria be put forward, I will vote to confirm.”

Good job! People of Colorado please get out and vote. Denver and a few other cities don’t outnumber everyone in Colorado. No matter if you never bothered to vote before, register and vote.
Who does this leave? Alexander is on board. Collins is still sorta kinda fence sitting. Mittens “says” he denies the rumors that he’ll go AWOL. I hope the Alaskan RINO hangs herself all alone.

Gardner did the right thing. You don’t give your base the middle finger in the hope you might attract some undecided voters.
The good news is the man is showing some balls. On the other hand he may very well lose in November so a Hail Mary just might be his best bet when you add POTUS coattails. If it doesn’t work he will be a martyr taking one for the team. Deserving of an ambassadorship.
Judge Lagoa will be nominated, Collins and Murkowski will reconsider their previous decisions, Graham will hold very controlled hearings and the nomination will be sent to the full Senate for a vote. Lagoa will be confirmed, probably in the last week of October.
The cow patties will fly, but the Democrats cannot stop it. Their antics will only impress their base. The suburban women will come back to Trump, except for the dye in the wool baby killer who were already Biden supporters. This has no downside for Trump.
I think he is down in the polls, which is why I predicted on Saturday he would be a yes for the candidate.
He’s been wobbly for years, but Trump has ‘brought him along’ making him stronger and stronger as time passes.
CO could (or at least should) do better, but he’s the guy we have.
We will have controlled hearings? So we won’t have audience outbursts interrupting things? We won’t have a parade of girls dressed in outfits from the Handmaid’s Tale?
But then after the hearings aren’t we going to have to wait a week or longer to wait for all of the sexual misconduct or other scandals to be revealed and investigated?
