With 43 days left before the presidential election, Cotton told MacCallum he’s certain Trump will be reelected and voters will return a Republican Senate majority.
“[Americans] want to see judges on the Supreme Court who understand the difference between making the law and applying the law,” he said. “In part because they see what the Democrats are already promising to do and now they've started threatening it even more explicitly since Justice Ginsburg's death on Friday.”

Several prominent Democrats have threatened to “pack” the Supreme Court if the vacancy left by Ginsburg's death is filled before an election in which Democrats take the White House and Senate. According to Cotton, Democrats see the highest court in the land as nothing more than a “rubber stamp for their radical left-wing agenda.”
“That's a reason why the American people are not going to vote for Democrats come November 3rd,” he said. “But whatever happens in terms of the timing of the president's nomination, the Senate will move forward without delay. We'll take a careful, thorough, deliberate approach to it and we will confirm that nominee. I am confident.”

I can only speak for myself, but what I want is judges who actually know the law and not just how to politic and fellate their way into better job postings for life
and
judges that will honor their oath of office and adhere to the Constitution as written and amended
or
said judges will be dragged off the bench, thrown in front of a court, tried as enemy of the Constitution and for waging war against the rule of law, then be executed in a public place.
Jordan was just on Fox and stated the importance of selecting an RBG replacement as it is perfectly clear the dems are intent on selecting the next president after the election takes place.
Citing liberal judges granting dems the continued acceptance of votes for days and in certain cases two weeks after election day.
I’m always interested in what senators Cotton, Cruz and Hawley have to say about the nominees.
Well, I hope that’s what we want, but I’ve been learning a little more lately. We’re not lawyers. That’s a good thing in a way. ;)
But we don’t know enough about what ambitious people wanting to be appointed to the Supreme Court might have done to get there. So maybe we should be wary of those who have tried a little too hard to be nominated by posing politically and socially.
Maybe we should allow the President to choose a judge who is faithful to our Constitution but has not tried to legislate from the bench or posed as one who might do so.
The election is our most important concern and something that we can certainly do something about, if we try.
Trump/Pence will get back in, no problem.
