Judge Amy Coney Barrett Recently Approved Democrat COVID-19 Lockdown Policies

Judge Amy Coney Barrett has emerged as the choice of Conservative Twitter to be the successor on the Supreme Court to replace deceased former justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died on Friday after many bouts of cancer.

However, Barrett’s record is troubling on many issues, with a ruling that gives Democrats in Illinois blanket authority to shut down society based on COVID-19 mass hysteria standing out as particularly heinous.

Barrett concurred with the majority in Illinois Republican Party et al. v. J.B. Pritzker, Governor of Illinois to keep the illegal lockdown in place and allow Democrats to rip up the Constitution under the guise of safety. She hid behind the precedent of Jacobsen v. Massachusetts (1905) in an attempt to avoid culpability for her decision.

“At least at this stage of the pandemic, Jacobson takes off the table any general challenge to [Pritzker’s executive order] based on the Fourteenth Amendment’s protection of liberty,” the majority opinion read in the case.

It continued: “[W]hile in the face of a pandemic the Governor of Illinois was not compelled to make a special dispensation for religious activities, see Elim, nothing in the Free Speech Clause of the First Amendment barred him from doing so. As in the cases reconciling the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses, all that the Governor did was to limit to a certain degree the burden on religious exercise that [the governor’s executive order] imposed.”

While Barrett rolls over to the far left and allows Democrats to rip up the Constitution, other judges are actually living up to their oath, such as the Trump-appointed District Judge in Pennsylvania, William S. Stickman.

She is woke with a designer inter-racial family

Evidence please that she is "woke"

Please also provide evidence that she "beats the one-note drum for 'the children'"

Some cases she has written on would be a great start.

She may have gone along because it seemed like a good idea at the time. But since it was waaay overdone, has her opinion changed?

Well every poll I have seen has Trump leading amongst Cubans and Venezuelans. Even the fake news polls.

While said in an adversarial manner, that doesn’t exactly contradict what I said.

Older, first generation escapees from Cuba, stand heavily one way, but the younger generation leans prominently the other way. Right now, the overall effect is a muted lean to the right, but it has steadily been moving to the left and will likely continue that direction as the younger folks become a larger portion of the adult population.

that group believes that the wife should be obedient to the husband.

And even that description has wide differences in application.

[[Women are roughly 3x more likely to be risk averse than men.]]

the aborted 10’s millions would dispute that claim

Women are weird- they sympathize with criminals, Even rapists, Want to defund police and/or make it impossible for them to defend themselves- they fight to be able to murder babies- but then turn around and demand all kinds of laws to protect the children they allow to live

Objective morals aren’t in their vocabulary- only subjective ones-

NOT all women are like this- but a great many liberals ones are- even some ‘conservative’ women-

Furthermore, there are plenty of Cubans that support socialism. If there weren't, the Castro family would never have risen to power and remained there iron fisted for decades.

I was down there in the Batista days, courtesy of the USN. That guy was a brutal dictator - one doctor told us how humiliated he felt when he went his pants when Batistas police paid him a visit - usually you disappeared.

Stuff like that made people look for someone else. Unfortunately, when the Reds get in power, they're in for life, so the only solution is to bail out of the country.

[[I’m a female, and I don’t trust her either. My gut tells me this is going to come back to bite us if she is chosen.]]

I think we’re all a bit nervous after watching roberts, who was supposed to be a brilliant, conservative judge by those who vetted him, turn on our party so nearly completely- Even gorsuch, who is likewise supposed to be very conservative, has ruled on matters in a bit of a troubling manner- on soem issues- his views on gay ‘rights’ (meaning of course extra super duper special rights noone else has) is a bit troubling- but we didn’t find that out till after he got put in-

It’ a real crap shoot- we hope for the best- but have been stung in the past- badly- and it’s such a long appointment too which makes it all that much worse- once they are in, there’s nothing we can do to get them out if they turn on the party

So apprehension is totally understandable

I guess I just don’t want to see millions of ladies in handsmaid costumes. I find that so annoying and could result in some independents going for Biden.

"Unfortunately, when the Reds get in power, they're in for life, so the only solution is to bail out of the country."

And some of them brought the socialism with them. Notice, (D) support did not start at zero.

After decades of GOP support, Cubans shifting toward the Democratic Party (JUNE 24, 2014)

All that (D) support can not be attributed to 2nd gen being born here. From that 2014 article: "Some 48% of Cubans ages 18 to 49 were born in the U.S"
Meaning, 52% in that demographic were not born here.

Additionally, from the article: "The shift is also partly explained by the different waves of Cuban immigrants who have arrived in the U.S.—more than half of Cuban immigrants arrived after 1990."

The bottom line is that a sizeable portion of the cuban population living in the U.S. today just simply thinks liberalism/socialism/communism/marxism is better.

The Bay of Pigs was in 1961. Castro seized power in 1959.The Cubans who fled Castro have already had children, grand children and great grandchildren etc since. And Cubans still support Trump. To suggest it's only the old Cubans who support Trump doesnt quite match the facts does it, given that there are vastly more children and grandchildren of Cubans who fled Castro than those who originally fled Castro. We are talking a time span of 60 years here. And Cubans overall are stollsolidly in Trump's corner because he delivered for them, whereas Obama/Biden didn't.

You are going back to polls in 2014 when Obama was in power, when we have polls from today showing very strong support for Tfump from Cuban Americans?
Just today, Trump honored Cuban Americans in the White House. Biden has nothing to offer them.

Castro rose to power at the point of a gun. I don't recall Castro asking anyone’s permission to seize power.
What you are saying is like saying Russians loved communism because Lenin and Stalin slaughtered tens of millions of Russians to force communist rule for 70 years.

Barrett, 48, a mother to seven children, was herself born into a family of seven kids. Her father, Mike Coney, was an attorney for Shell Oil, while her mother, Linda, was a stay-at-home mom.

************************************************************

“Coney” was her birth name and her husbands name is Jesse Barrett. Around here, if a woman uses her father’s name and her husbands name after she marries then most people refer to her as “hyphenated”.

In a revolutionary situation with societal collapse the most ruthless faction usually wins. That’s how Lenin’s Bolsheviks won. Castro’s Communists in Cuba not necessarily societal collapse there but certainly a revolutionary environment. Castro also initially disguised his true ideology and intent and was by far the most ruthless.
