It’s valid. I didn’t say, “REPUBLICAN” women; you said that. I said “women”.

O’Connor became a squishy John Roberts, and she did NOT work well for conservatives.

In 1992, her vote helped strike down a Pennsylvania law requiring spousal awareness for an abortion.

In opposition to the Republican call to reverse the Roe v. Wade decision on abortion rights, O’Connor provided the vote needed to uphold the court’s earlier decision.

There have been only 4 women appointed to the Supreme Court so far. The other three were Sotomayor, Kagan (appointed by Obama)and RBG (appointed by Bill Clinton) , all of them appointed by hard left Democrat presidents, precisely because they were hard core leftists.
They proceeded to do exactly what they were appointed for.
There has been only one Republican female appointed. You can't use a sample of one to jump to any generalized conclusions.
Going by your hypothesis, no men should be appointed to the Supreme Court either because John Roberts turned out to be garbage.
