CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - High volumes of absentee ballot applications are pouring in, and there are already some problems.
With just 55 days before the Presidential election, Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Director Tony Perlatti said they are dealing with issues voters can fix.
We have a little over 14,000 rejected applications and of that about 11,400 are because of a missing date of birth, he said.
That means 80% of those applications are being rejected.
Without the date of birth, officials cant process the application.
Perlatti said some voters are mailing in their absentee ballot applications completely wrong.
They put the applications back in the envelope in the manner in which they took the letter out, folding it so their address shows," he explained.
When you get your absentee ballot application in the mail, he says to make sure you fill out the required fields in the back and fold it so the Board of Elections address appears in the clear part of the envelope.
"We dont want them to get that application mailed back to themselves and say, "You know what, forget this! Im not going to participate in the election,' said Perlatti.
Perlatti said his office has received more than 200,000 applications so far. Thats more than what they got in 2016.
There is definitely is an interest of individuals wanting to vote by mail, expressed Perlatti.
Officials in Lake and Lorain counties have also noticed some voters mailing their applications incorrectly.
Ashtabula county says a third-party sending out applications is causing some confusion for voters.
Missing date of birth most likely means the application was fraudulent. They need your date of birth as part of the crosscheck.
Lastly, now you see part of where we will have a contested election. People who requested a ballot and don't get one will have to vote provisional. And I guarantee the Democrats are going to be screaming because some of these folks are going to be blaming republicans because they have to show up at a polling location. Or the courts are going to order mail-in ballots be sent anyway.
Ping!
I think people should follow the rules.
No birthdate? You didn’t follow the rules. No vote for you.
Didn’t put it in the envelope correctly? You didn’t follow the rules. No vote for you.
Most reliable way: show up at a polling place on election day.
But if you want to mail-in your vote, just do it correctly.
But you know that is not how this is going to play out in the county that can swing the entire state.
all this chaos is by design. worst case, Biden wins, best case, the election is seen as illegitimate.
The problem with Ohio is the population centers can swing the entire state.

What if they're fake? Are they being destroyed or put in holding for future prosecution?
The crooks didnt know when each of the deceased was born. I certainly hope the rules arent changed to allow these!
...best case, the election is seen as illegitimate.

What’s one more?
Has a black-robed tyrant issued a proclamation that dates of birth are not required on these ballot requests yet?
What are the odds that out of 14,000 rejects 11,000 would be missing dob?
Missing DOB. Whew...I was concerned for a moment that the voters left out something important like a photocopy of their driver license or passport proving their identity.
He might even lose. We all know he has a screw loose upstairs.
For a few bucks, you can subscribe to White Pages and get all the info you need. Are the crooks too stupid to do that?
Either will do nicely. Or both.
Last election Trump won the state by less than 500,000 votes.
Mail-in requests in just this county are at 200,000... that number doesn’t even count the other two counties mentioned.
I have said over the last few election cycles the Republican party needs, NEEDS, to get involved in these swing counties of Ohio.
Voter registration up significantly in Tompkins County
I wonder how many of these voters are already or will be double dippers, out-of-state students who vote in their home state AND in NYS...
