Here's the backstory:

The AG initially refused to press charges, saying it was self-defense.

Then the leftist mob descended onto the DA's home, so then he caved and convened a grand-jury.

Instead of lawyering up, Gardener cooperated with the police. The DA was going to use that confession to (with a biased grand jury) to nail Gardner to the wall.

Gardener was facing at least 20 years in prison for manslaughter and aggravated assault. That's when he sadly committed suicide.

Look, I respect the cops, but you should NEVER cooperate with them in a case like this. Things are going to get ugly and if I'm defending myself and get hauled off to jail for questioning, I ain't saying s--t.

Looks to me like he trusted the system to do right by him as he was attacked and simply defended himself.

Guess being a Marine, he felt he had a leg to stand on.

Hard lesson and a wake up call to a system rife with corruption.

Rand comes to mind wherein laws protect the lawless.
