Sweden’s economy dropped 8% in Q2 just like ours. People isolated themselves regardless of government policy. Also Sweden’s deaths are the in same ballpark as the US, UK, Italy and Mexico. The only real difference is they had a bigger first wave and our curve flattening worked but is keeping the deaths going longer.
And everybody forget that this was the bargain with "flattening the curve". Lower the peak hit in exchange for a longer pandemic period. The idea was initially designed to prevent the overwhelming of the national healthcare system. Well, we never got close to that. Even hard-hit NY State never actually utilized the Hospital ship or the twin emergency hospitals setup using federal aid. Also, the much discussed shortage of ventilators never happened as production ramped up so quickly. NY was exporting the darned things because they were surplus. The Democrat media is manipulating the news like a cat owner with a laser pen. If we keep our eye on the ball we'd see that the Feds acted with restraint where civil liberties were concerned and confined themselves to supporting the traitorous Democrat governors.
