An Ohio woman at a middle school football game was tasered and arrested by a police officer for not wearing a face mask in the bleachers.
Around 300 people attended a Marietta City Schools football game where Alecia Kitts, of Marietta, was filmed getting handcuffed on Wednesday in the city of Logan.
Kitts, as well as several other families and children, were sitting in the bleachers at the time and footage taken by witnesses quickly spread across social media.
After struggling for at least two minutes, the officer takes out his taser and deploys it on Kitts.
Kitts, who is still seated in the stands, lets loose a scream and nearby witnesses lash out at the officer.
'Tasing this lady over not wearing a damn mask,' one person says.
Kitts' mother tries to appeal to the police officer by saying, 'it’s just a mask,' but her daughter is taken into custody.

Wesr you chains lightly. You have no obligation to obey an illegal order, and those that think that you have to obey any order from the police are ignorant. Does that fit you?
May I merely observe that the road to Hell begins with a single step. She didn't take it, and neither should you.
Did this woman walk into a stadium where there were signs posted that masks were required and PA announcements stating the same, or was she on the sidewalk in front of her house?
If she didn't want to wear a mask, she could have stayed outside of the stadium. She doesn't get tased, she doesn't get arrested, and everyone's a winner.
Did you not understand the part about illegal orders? Whether somebody tells you to do something over a PA system or wired it on the wall, if isn’t a legal order, it isn’t a legal order, would not you agree?
Sure...throw the cop not wearing a mask in cell next to her. Any employee not wiping down hand rails quick enough can be in adjoining cells.

I don't get arrested, I don't get tased, and I don't get viewed around the world on YouTube for failing a pretty basic IQ test. I just walk out of the stadium.
That option was always there for her; she thought she had a better idea.

Yes we do. All she needed to say was she has a medical condition and he should have left her alone. She was outside in the open air sitting away from everyone else with her mother. Be kept pushing and unfortunately she lost her temper and it went to hell from there. She’ll have an opportunity to sue under the ADA.

The men just sat on their fat seats and watched. No one did anything!
Even the mom seemed too chill, considering what was happening to her daughter. I guess she didn’t want to add to the commotion, for her grandkid’s sake.

No....she was NOT aware of the idiotic, OUTDOOR mask mandate/requirement.

Alecia Kitts drove an hour and a half from Marietta to Logan, Ohio to watch her son’s football game.
In the first quarter she was approached by an officer from the Logan Police Department because she was not wearing a mask.

According to Tiffany Kennedy, the woman who shot the above video, Kitts had not been warned for not wearing a mask prior to the officer approaching her. Kennedy also said that Kitts has asthma and that’s why she was not wearing a mask.
“There is no reason to tase someone and arrest them for not wearing a mask,” Kennedy said.
Kennedy also pointed out the female officer who is shown running toward the Logan officer and Kitts at the end of the video was not wearing a mask – pulling one out of her pocket as she was in pursuit.
“Alecia’s mom said that when the officer tased her, the current went through the bleachers and zapped the kid sitting there too.”
Kitts appears to be socially distanced from others in the crowd and sitting with her family. “There were only 25 or 30 fans from our town on our side,” said Kennedy.
The Logan Police Department declined comment and sent an inquiry to Captain Ryan Gabriel. The Ohio Star left a message with Captain Gabriel and will report back after making contact.
Alecia Kitts was contacted but had not returned comment before press time.
Sources indicate that Kitts was charged with criminal trespass and released on her own recognizance.

I was shocked by that too. The one guy finally got up after they tased the lady.
