Thanks for that selection. Randy Newman is a great songwriter, no doubt (his movie stuff is not to my taste) but that song is a great one!

I remember this song more from Long John Baldry's great album of the early 70's: "It Ain't Easy". You might want to give this one a listen to as well:

That album, IMHO, is one of my top 10 favorites of all time, and Ry Cooder's 'Bob til you Drop' is also on that list.
