What they did to Kavanaugh hurt them politically. Let them try it again. Judge Barrett’s a big girl; she can take it, and she showed in her Appeals Court confirmation hearing that she can give as good as she gets.
She’ll easily be the best-looking Supreme Court Justice.

Given the record of GOP nominees, there is a good chance that whomever is chosen will veer left. However, chances are slim any pick will be a Souter. So no matter who is chosen, she will be light-years better than RBG.
One of the Republican Congressmen from Louisiana has known Amy Coney Barrett since high school and said she’s “a female Scalia.” I’ll take that.

Amy Coney Barrett would be the youngest at 48. Barbara Lagoa is 52 but a very nice looking 52. In fact the both of them look very youthful and attractive.

I see the Dem tactic is to insist whomever is nomed (Amy per sources) sit out any election decisions that come before the court. Hoping to swing Roberts, 4-4, lower court nonsense stands. If she is impartial, she is impartial. The reason to fill to the seat is so these issues can get a real decision as opposed to chaos the Dems want.
Everything points to that not being the case. A lot of people like to harp on her father in law but how many people don’t agree on issues with their in laws? A lot. Instead look to her parents to see who she truly is- they came to the US after her father refused to swear allegiance to the communist party.
And her husband has represented the Susan B Anthony list and has played a central role in Miami’s Fed Soc.
