Guys who work overnights on a DuPont 12 hr schedule have this down pat. The DuPont 12 schedule allows them 7 days off to adjust while flipping back to days.
I flipped from nights working to daytime living on days off in the USAF.
12 hour shifts 4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off.
On your last day of work, you just stay up 36 hours.
