Palin hints at Senate run in Alaska if Lisa Murkowski opposes Trump's Supreme Court nominee

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin hinted at a possible run for Lisa Murkowski's Senate seat if the senator doesn’t support President Trump’s replacement for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court.

"We sure hope that you have it within you to do the right thing this time,” Palin said to Murkowski in a series of Instagram videos posted this week. “So, you should walk back. We'll forgive you. If you can't do that, remember my house? I can see a lot of things from my house. ... Lisa, I can see 2022 from my house."

"Lisa Murkowski, this is my house," Palin said, pointing to her Alaska residence in the background. "I'm willing to give it up for the greater good of this country ... if you can't find it within yourself to do the right thing this time and at least give a fair shake to the Supreme Court nominee that your president will be bringing before you.”

You suspect nothing. Period. She quit rather than fighting back against the lies, distortions and fake news fired at her. So before you go running off at the mouth be sure of your facts.

What she should have done IMO is toughed out the end of her gubernatorial term, engaging a ghost writer to get her autobiography out while she was still a hot item in order to pay off her legal fees. Quitting seemed to be what originally soured Alaskans on her.

Then I think she would have stayed away from the reality TV and all of that and maybe could have overcome a couple of wild kids.

But so it goes.

They were married 31 years.

I think he and his new person probably deserve each other.

Would love to have Sarah Palin back in the arena... Wish she had done this years ago...

If that’s all you have to say, then you are just a hater.

She managed to quit upwards once, but it backfired on her the second time. That first success is probably what misled her into thinking it could work the second time. Too bad.

Murkowski lost her last primary, to a friend of Sarah Palin, then she ran as a write in candidate and won. Do not underestimate her. That said, I hope Sarah runs and kicks her a$$. I too still like Palin.

I still say go for it Sarah as she still has many in the state who are behind her.

She runs and Trump goes out there to support her.

> She’s a quitter. <

You’re either very bold or quite drunk. Because you’re going to catch a lot of flak for that comment.

But you’re not wrong. Palin probably had 10 excellent reasons why she had to resign from the governorship. Nevertheless, that resignation looks bad for her politically. It just does. It cannot be spun into something positive, or even neutral.

As I noted elsewhere, the whole thing breaks my heart. The country needs another Ronald Reagan. And back in 2008 I was certain that person was Sarah Palin. But it never happened. She gets perhaps 25% of the blame for it.

Her personal life has been in turmoil for the last decade. Her kids, husband, everyone giving her the works. The media saw to that. Maybe she's finally turned the corner on that.

And, I think she’s standing up, and, dusting herself off, after getting thrown off of that rough ride.

I agree. She had issues she needed to deal with and she's dealt with them. If she wants to return to politics now (2022 Senate run) is a good time.

Sarah damaged her brand too much to run for anything at this point.
