SFC was very interesting to listen to on the John Bachelor show. RIP.
I recall on the John Bachelor show, JB had Nixon’s grandson on, and grandson was getting away with saying (unchallenged) how wonderful it was for Nixon to have opened up China to the US (and thereby setting the stage for the de-industrialization of the US, with disastrous results, and much corruption by US politicians).
John Bachelor never once mentioned the harm Nixon did, during a period of post Vietnam weakness, by opening up China, and helping to lift them out of Mao’s feudalism. Later, it turns out that Nixon’s grandson’s firm was a lobbyist, and also a sponsor of the John Bachelor Show!
I see your point but you over looked the Soviet Union in matter. Nixon was trying to triangulate the USA, USSR and China. The actual cooperation (dare I say collusion) with US businesses, politicians, and the CCP came decades later.
GHWB was the one who really started the cooperation with China, he was the best friend they ever had.
I remember Tucker had him on at the beginning of the Trump/Russia collusion hysteria. He was reasonable in his discussions - not a foam-at-the-mouther
As I recall Cohen was polite, congenial, persuasive, and wrong 100% of the time. Sorta like Tom Friedman and Paul Krugman.
Yes. John Batchelor had him on a lot. Deep, gravely voice, Russia-lover for sure.
Bubba Clinton was pretty helpful in getting China’s missile systems working...
I used to listen to him back when my congressman Thad McCotter was a regular guest. Havent listened to John Bachelor in years, but I can see how he could have a little of that elitist liberal, inside the beltway sense about him once in awhile.
“he simply rode the logic to his pro Marxist...”
Without relecting on the deathtoll...

Do you have any links to his debates?

Thanks. Not quite as gag worthy as the piece Batchelor did on Cohen but nauseating nonetheless.
