11. Corporations shall be freely able to use their profits as they see fit within the law. This will include the ability to influence the election of politicians and the passage of legislation to the extent that Commandments 1 - 10 will become superfluous and have no real effect on the economy.

You guys are great! Great comments.

Words, lingo, and symbols are very, very important.

I will interject that today’s college crowd is steeped in Marxist indoctrination through no desire of their own. Even as I suspect most of them grudge through it, they still pick up the lingo of Marxist culture and never hear much of the language of Adam Smith and the American experiment.

First note:
Marxists have infiltrated colleges.
Marxists have infiltrated government.

And in many cases Marxist infiltration has resulted in takeover meaning full control of who gets promoted, who gets passed over, who gets driven out. Marxists in such power positions can be very subtle, they are not wearing T-shirts of Karl Marx and what not. If we see them, they may look somewhat normal. They are in fact ‘sleepers’ while they rise through the ranks of society.

Note secondly that today’s young people are good mannered, hard-working but they struggle in many ways that previous generations did not. Their wages are out of balance with their personal economic options. Even if they rent a one-room apartment, or take on a roommate, the rents are so high, the utilities are so high, groceries are so costly, that ‘socialism’, which I have referred to in the past as the “Siren Song of Socialism” seems only fair to them. They start looking at Bernie Sanders as a cultural icon. They view BLM rallies as rock concerts. The Democrat Party seems the logical choice as it pushes to raise minimum wages, provide access to free healthcare, subsidized transportation, subsidized community centers and gyms, subsidized education and so on.

YOUNG PEOPLE DON”T SEE THE OTHER SIDE AND THAT”S OUR FAULT BECAUSE WE DON’T PROVIDE THE SYMBOLS, THE IDEAS, THE ICONS, THE PHILOSOPHY, THE WAY OUT OF THE HELL THEY ARE IN, THE PATH TO THE MIDDLE CLASS, THE MORALITY, THE DIGNITY OF THE AMERICAN DREAM.

Many of them are stuck in this prison where no matter how hard they work, no matter how much they strive to greet customers with a smile in their jobs, THEY NEVER GET AHEAD.

Now we can call them ‘stupid’, ‘ignorant’, ‘radical’ any number of slur words but that would be wrong. For those that watched the Republican Convention, we saw the Trump factor take over the Republican Party and finally get it right. There was no talk of Free Trade, Fair Trade, Deregulation, Laffer Curves and so on. Instead there was a display of RAW EMOTION. For example, Herschel Walker brought people to tears, to awareness, to common sense, to truth. This is the Trump cultural change taking over the GOP. And it works.

Young people can’t always see the forest from the trees, so they don’t see how the Democrats are using them and how Democrat policies don’t help them climb to the next level unless they can get that GOVERNMENT JOB where they are expected to have Marxist lingo, progressive body language, tinted hair, politically correct tattoos and Che Guevara T-shirts, the whole nine yards of reprobate leftist culture.

The word ‘capitalism’ is what they are used to hearing in their forced indoctrination. And our challenge is to redefine their notion of ‘capitalism’ and then ease them out of the world of ‘isms’ and into a world of prosperous living through hard work and production. That’s when their language will change along with their symbols, values, icons, and philosophy.

If we want to get through to today’s young people as we should and must, instill in them our experiences that will resonate with them, we have to give them ‘the other side of the story’. So we use their Marxist word ‘Capitalism’ and we provide our version of what it is and why it’s good. If we are successful, we can change it to what we prefer such as ‘free enterprise’, ‘prosperity culture’ and so on.

Because if we use ‘free enterprise’, ‘free trade’, ‘freedom’, ‘Laffer curves’, ‘economic balancing’, we’re not reaching their hearts and minds, not yet, we’re not putting their forced Marxist indoctrination into our light. We’re not giving them the fight-back tools they need to counter Marxists.

So while Marxists will program them to think Capitalism is evil, Capitalism is for the evil rich, Capitalism is the basis for systemic racism, Capitalism is the cause of Climate Change, and on and on, we have to give them our side of what ‘Capitalism’ means.

We tell them their view of ‘Capitalism’ is not Capitalism, it’s Oligarchy or as the source author of this thread calls it, ‘Cronyism’ with ‘Socialism’ as ‘Cronyism on steroids’, characterizations I like and approve of. Then we go on to tell them that anytime they get together with their friends or neighbors to hold a yard sale or sell something from a booth at a flea market, THAT’S CAPITALISM. Once they start to get the idea and reject their Marxist programming, then we ease them into new terms like ‘free enterprise’ or ‘fair markets’. Personally, I would ease them into using terms that are more personal such as ‘your trade offering’, ‘your product trade’, ‘your fair trade’, ‘your trade zone’ or simply ‘your trade’ I’d love to see them adopt the speech, “Hey! Here’s MY TRADE for today”.

Imagine such converts to TRADE hearing diatribes from Bernie! supporters and asking such supporters, “What’s the TRADE?”. We can imagine a response such as “Universal Basic Income!” If our converts are smart, they will persist, “Yeah, but what’s the TRADE?” If the Bernie crowd responds “Free Stuff!”, our sharp converts can reply, “There’s no such thing as a free lunch!”. If this happens, we’ve done our job.

But first we have to help them make the conversion. They need to see another path that is better all around; moral, dignified, honest, rewarding. We need to help them work their way into the great American middle class which is a wonderful lifestyle. Once the middle class grows, the ‘isms’ are put into the rear view mirror.
