Was gonna say, when you see raccoons out in broad daylight acting weird it is almost always rabies.

This is a rural area, but when raccoons find out that tourists eat by the river and lake out here and leave scraps, they learn to be out in the daytime to get to the leftovers before the deer or other scavengers do-you can’t feed your pets outside any time of the day or night without them making a try for some food, once they learn when it gets put out-they are smart critters...
