The state is on fire, there are water and power shortages and the major cities a coated in feces and urine. With all that, their focus is on gender issues of convicted criminals??
Back in the 70s, my dad had an offer to go work for a defense contractor in CA. He turned down the offer, and I was kind of disappointed. I thought it would be cool to live in CA. Talk about blessings in disguise!

I do not think California became crazy until 2000 or so. Even then, it was not that bad. Probably did not accelerate until 2010 or so when the state became truly kooky.

Same here. When I was a kid one of my dad’s HS buddies moved near San Bernadino, we went there on vacation and my parents were considering moving out there. At the time I was disappointed they didn’t, but years later realized it was a very wise decision on their part.
