I think the request for 30 minutes is a major tell, its gonna be intense pressure on old Joe to hold it together, physically and mentally. I believe you are right. If the Biden team were smarter and Biden himself could handle it , it would be a head fake.

Yes, basically debates are attacking the Incumbent on his actions, and the challenger on his positions, the challenger can say whatever he wants. It’s easy to say, “I would have done A or B”, with the benefit of hindsight.

It wouldn’t surprise me if this is the only debate. If Biden does ok tonight his handlers will pull him out of the other debates to lessen the chance of a major gaffe/medical emergency.

I wonder if Trump’s response will be(since he did say he would be releasing his tax returns at some point)...the reason why the Times got my taxes was because I released them to the Times thru intermediaries! Indeed what if Trump has done that....I thought his comment about his taxes in the last coupled of weeks seemed rather cryptic...he did say he would be releasing them “very soon”.
