> if the price to dry-clean a woman’s suit jacket is $12 but only $8 for a man’s, it would violate the law <
Maybe it takes more work to clean a woman’s suit jacket. Oh, well. Just charge everyone $12 and be done with it.
Onward the Revolution!
Dry cleaners are already suffering as people dress down to work from home or enjoy more relaxed attire at work. So this will help put more dry cleaners out of business, another feather in Cumo's cap.
There is more variety in woman’s jacket materials and they complain and have claims more often. Why shouldn’t they pay more?
I worked for a woman exec decades ago. She complained that the dry cleaner charged x amount to launder/press her husband’s shirts, but more to launder/press hers. so she went to straighten him out about discrimination.
He explained that mens shirts fit on the presser - womens shirts, being usually smaller, had to be done by hand.
Maybe we all should wear the same uniform like they used to in North Korea of Mao’s China. Everybody will we equal!
