The Michigan Supreme Court on Friday struck down months of orders by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer that were aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus, saying she drew authority from a 1945 law that is unconstitutional.
The decision is an extraordinary development in a monthslong conflict between Whitmer, a Democrat, and the Republicans who control the Legislature and have complained that theyve been shut out of major orders that have restricted education, the economy and health care.

She is going to IGNORE any ruling. No one will stop her.
She already upped the restrictions in the UP today.
Thank for posting, Tippecanoe.

She is going to IGNORE any ruling. No one will stop her. She already upped the restrictions in the UP today.

I saw that ... the Left doesn’t care about court rulings, the law, or whatever ... they do what they please.
Ok then....look at the PSYCHOPATH STANDING next to her.
Could a legal-minded person here explain, please, the justification for her statement; “...this ruling does not take effect for at least 21 days...”?
True story: I’m working for an automotive supplier in a test lab as a technician years ago. We were all examining our product when the BIGS came in to critique it. They called it the “Tire Kick” meeting. They ripped it to shreds. One said, “Hell, even Ray Charles could see these defects!” It brought relieving (from the pressure) uproarious laughter to the room. A guy next to me, an H1B1 engineer, was laughing also. After the laughter died down, he turned to me and asked, “Who Ray Charles?”
I remember it like it was yesterday true.
Does she have 21 days left before the order goes into effect?
From what I have read, the court put a 21-day stay on its order.
“From what I have read, the court put a 21-day stay on its order.”
I don’t believe that’s true...I believe the 21 days is in reference to the time she has to request a rehearing.
So, if anybody has a link...it would be greatly appreciated.
