Turns out that the anonymous source was White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. Not sure why he chose to make this statement, but he said it to reporters right after the doctors’ press conference and then had it emailed out.

Where did you hear this?

Probably like others, I'm going to need a source on this.

Liberty Daily is reporting that Meadows was the source also and that pool reporters were happy to out him. Pretty unusual for them to do that but they couldn’t pass on a chance to not only hurt the POTUS but his chief of staff also.
