The President’s tweet does not cause $1200 to be paid to anyone - even if she does exactly what he said, it still has to go to the Senate.
It is a political volley. He’s saying to the people “Nancy Pelosi is the reason you aren’t getting $1200 immediately.”
It puts the ball in her court.
She can deny it, or call his bluff by sending a clean bill to the Senate, but either way, he has already scored political points just by tweeting this.

-cashless bail
-mass prison release, including violent criminals
-nationwide ballot harvesting
-Voter ID ban

I so agree. I cringed when he said stop it all until after election. Now getting slammed by Pelosi, news, Schumer saying President is messed up in the head on COVID drugs, questioning his thinking, decisions.
I love the President but he needs to get his mouth in order. First COVID POST remarks after hospital release now this bone to Pelosi so they can say “see we were literally working on getting you all those checks and President told us to stop”.
Oh, for crying out loud. This whole business of the Treasuty just giving money to people and corporations is completely unconstitutional. Trump has bought into this modern monetary theory bullshit 100%. What he is doing is disgraceful and completely unconservative.

You are right - the “stimulus“ and bailouts are not conservative or constitutional - they are wealth redistribution and political pandering.
However, I do believe there are conservative and constitutional reasons why that money SHOULD be paid out - it should be returned to the taxpayers from which it was stolen - NOT given to consumers as “stimulus“ or to corporations as bailouts.
The government should immediately stop spending around 95% of what it spends and only spend the circa 5% which is constitutional.
But wealth has been stolen and redistributed from the private sector for more than a century through overtaxation, deficit spending and currency debauchment - to support unconstitutional government programs and to enrich corrupt factions.
How should a conservative President make reparations for past theft and government plunder? Is there a conservative way to “unredistribute“ - to reverse the effects of a century of legal plunder - keep the economy from sliding into a depression?

That tweet did not release any money from the Treasury - it was a political jab intended to put the Democrats in an uncomfortable spot with their base.
I do not know if people believe that, but it is an eye-popping commercial.
C’mon stop it with all those silly facts. We can spend as much as we want on anything we want without consequences.
The U.S. Constitution is the the only legal bulwark of freedom to protect against the tyranny of the federal genet. Scrap the Constitution and sooner or later you scarp the only legal means to protect your freedom. The U.S. Constitution CREATED the United States of America.
The Constitution protects our God-given rights (see the Declaration of Independence) and delegates very limited enumerated powers to the feds. If it’s not in the Constitution, it is not a federal power as the 9th and 10th Amendments explain.
I love Trump becsue he loves America, but unless Trump is rebating taxes, I see no constitutional permission for him to send out “stimulus” money to everybody. It is legally forbidden and economically unsound.
