New York City is becoming an economic basket case.

"'We're at war': New York City Faces a Financial Abyss," screams a New York Times headline.

New York City's unemployment rate stands at 16%, double the nation's average.

Yet, even in the midst of a "financial abyss," the animosity of New York's liberal elite remains undeterred in its hostility toward free enterprise and entrepreneurship, the pillars of job creation and economic recovery.

The example is there assaulting the senses.

But indoctrinated Americans, those 40 and under, crave what New York already has.

Amazing.

Especially De Blasio. He could end up flipping more than just Staten Island “red” at the rate he’s going.

The problem is the Liberals are leaving their sinking ship and moving here to NH and every other part of the eastern coast of the USA.
Maybe even to your neck of the woods in KY.

Same story with Boston, San Fran, Seattle, etc.
All the people that have the ability are leaving the major cities.

I met a guy on Sunday who said he lived at the Ritz Carlton residences in downtown Boston(multi million dollar condo). He was visiting his son’s family who is a neighbor of mine. He stated his wife was currently at their second home in Townsend, MT. This guy was rich. He said he used to work for the national oil company of Saudi Arabia. He had lived overseas for the last ten+ years. His son had recently purchased this house. His son worked for Fidelity Investments in NH.

I’m not worried. I see it as inevitable anyway.

Fred covers it here (from 2002):

It’s the human condition until the Lord returns. All we can do is all we can do.

Ed Koch worked his butt off bringing New York back from the brink. Dinkins almost undid Ed’s work, but Rudy Giuliani got it back on the path. Dinkins may have been incompetent, but Warren Wilhelm is deliberately out to destroy New York. It’s all a Communist can do.
