Masks are dehumanizing besides being worthless. People no longer smile and interact. The masks give a degree of anonymity that makes people feel more free to be rude and churlish (look at internet behavior). a they teach our children to be isolated and impede their social interaction and growth. Women in Iran are bravely going veil-less in public despite threats of arrest, while grown men in the rest of the world skulk behind masks for fear of Karens, or viruses, or other small things.
