Yesterday, the Minnesota Senate’s Transportation and Public Safety Committee released its report on this summer’s riots in Minneapolis.

The Star Tribune report on this was headlined: ‘Minnesota Senate GOP report blames Gov. Tim Walz, Mayor Jacob Frey for slow riot response‘. The sub-header read: ‘Democratic leaders reject findings, call document fodder for election’, which is curious, because previously both Governor Walz and Mayor Frey had said that the other was to blame.

Businesses should be suing the mayor and the city council for damages.

It may take creative litigation, but it would be well worth the effort.

The Mayors are personally responsible for every nickel of property damage in their cities.

In my opinion, finger-pointing state lawmakers should be impeaching activist governors who failed to do their duty to use their resources, including requesting federal help, to maintain peace.
"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence [emphasis added]."

Insights welcome.

Vote Republican ticket for both federal and state governments for upcoming election.
