Donald Trump: ‘I’ve Lost Billions’ by Winning the Presidency
Breitbart ^ | 17 Oct 2020 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 10/17/2020 7:55:37 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

President Donald Trump said that he had lost billions by leaving his real estate company to run for political office.

“Believe me. I didn’t do it for me,” Trump said. “I lost a fortune. This job has cost me billions and billions of dollars.”

The president spoke about the impact that becoming president had on his personal wealth during a campaign rally in Janesville, Wisconsin.

“I would say it cost me two, three, maybe more billion dollars,” Trump said.

He noted that the “fake news” media harped on the fact that he was not raising as much money as former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign.

Trump said that he could easily raise more money, but he did not want to be beholden to wealthy donors.

“Nobody could ever raise money like me, I just don’t want to do it,” Trump said. “Because it puts us all … meaning us, I did this for us, and not for me.

Trump mocked the media for criticizing his hotels for allowing foreign dignitaries to stay in them for a few hundred dollars a night.

“Billions I lost, and that’s ok, because I’m doing something that’s the most important thing I’ve ever done,” he said.

The president reminded his supporters that he gave up his $400,000 annual salary as president.

“I never talk about it, they never talk about it,” he said.

In political campaigns while the use of Social Electronic Formats are useful in presenting political positions. Relying solely on using those venues is a mistake because of their SEF content limitations and media bias .

Consideration of the use of reprinted material including handouts and flyers such as of articles in FR and the planning of area saturation distribution known as “blitzing” in the targeted area is essential of one wants to win.

The most amazing meal I ever had was dinner at the gorgeous Trump DC hotel for my 25th wedding anniversary. The staff treated us like royalty, my family of 5 practically licked our plates clean because the food was outstanding, and the bill was just a few hundred for a 3 course meal.

Worth every penny. It was not just a meal, it was an experience.

Here's something that's undeniable - Trump had a better life before he became president. He's a billionaire, he owns multiple homes, all of which are more luxurious and better appointed than the White House, he owns his own private jet which is more luxurious than any of the presidential planes, he's married to a beautiful woman, and he's been a celebrity since I was a kid. He doesn't need any of the BS, the vicious slander from the press and Democrats, and the constant betrayals from Republicans that he's gotten.

I'm not going to pretend for a second that Trump is anything close to a saint - I used to listen to him on the Howard Stern show in the early '90s, feuding with AJ Benza over some woman he stole from Benza. But I don't want or need a saint in the White House - I need a guy who works hard for me and other Americans. The reality is that I can't think of any president in my lifetime who actually gave up more to serve his nation than Trump has.

I agree with the rest of your post, but we have to stop using qualifiers like this. Almost nobody is a saint, and President Trump's critics are as far from saints as one could imagine.

Just my 2 cents, tired of seeing people feel like they have to offer a side order of something negative when supporting President Trump.

President Trump is bigger than Paul Bunyan. Trump’s meeting with the leader of North Korea was optimal. Trump has Mar-a-Lago where members pay $250K to get in and $12K a month to stay in. All of Trump’s children are courteous and professional. Melania is the most glamorous First Lady ever, way more than Nancy Reagan.

For Trump, living in the White House is a downgrade. Can you image that?

Last year my wife I used our “free“ Hyatt credit card night to stay at a resort in San Antonio. ($75 annual CC fee.) The year before we stayed 3 free nights at a fantastic International Hotel with the amazing breakfast buffet and a delicious dinner included. Now, imagine OWNING resorts better than those, staying in the best rooms, and getting the best most delicious meals all the time...
