I will die a Christian, who accepted the fact that without the sacrifice of my Lord Jesus, for payment of my sin, I would be going to hell.

I was not born a Catholic.

I was baptized into the Catholic church as an infant and then took the steps as a young person.

Having never, ever, heard about why Jesus died for me.

The mere act of following a faith’s protocol without true knowledge will not enable one to gain the Forgiveness one needs.

I truly do not know where the Lord God stands with the formal protocols of a church. Does He reject out of hand your faith simply because you know belong to a church which leaders and church administrators, almost as a whole, rejects Christ and the need for the gift of Salvation?

That is so far above my brain and heart. I hurt for those who believe that simply *doing* acts will get them to Heaven. I do know there are those in the Catholic Church who do not believe Jesus was even the Son of the Lord God. Yet, that said, I also, in my heart accept that there are Christians within the Catholic Church. I am simply to simple minded to understand how.

What I do know is the Bible instructed me to confess my sins, to confess my acceptance of the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The walk I have with Jesus now.... I trip, and I fall, and I behave badly....and yet, He is still there, for me.

I die as a Christian, paid for by the blood of the Redeemer.

Amen.

I am, AAABEST, grateful you spent your time, which once spent cannot be returned, to read my comment and respond to it.

Thank you for your testimony.

I also was baptized into the Catholic church as an infant and went through Catholic Christian Doctrine (CCD) classes and Confirmation.

I accepted Christ as my true Savior four years later. By the grace of God.

I remember having been taught the elements of salvation in the Catholic church, about Jesus Christ's sacrificial death for us on the Cross and His resurrection, but it never "hit home" for me until the Holy Spirit started working in my heart.
