Pretty much still in place.

Removing the individual mandate made it irrelevant, at least to me. For the first time in my life, I stopped health care insurance the day it became the law of the land. My wife and I are both almost 67. We’ve saved over 100,000 in health insurance premiums since then, and that health insurance would have had such a high deductible that it would have been pretty worthless anyway.

In that time there has been no drugs and one useless ER visit. That’s it. But we take responsibility for our health and also have faith in the Great Healer. And he has been faithful!

“My wife and I are both almost 67.”

So you are both covered by Medicare.
